Barclay Lake trail conditions are currently excellent, with the primary obstacle being the creek crossing. Reports from May and June 2026 indicate the bridge has been removed, necessitating a ford or crossing over a log. Trail maintenance crews have been active, clearing blowdowns and performing brushing, with reports from June 25th stating the trail is largely clear of major obstacles up to the lake. Wildflowers are abundant. Parking can be limited, especially on weekends, with overflow onto the road shoulder. Mosquitoes are present, particularly in areas with shade and standing water.
