Cutthroat Pass via the Pacific Crest Trail

North Cascades

updated 4 months ago

As of February 16, 2026, current conditions at Cutthroat Pass via the PCT are snow-covered.

The last report on November 11, 2025, indicated snowshoeing was necessary, with early season conditions featuring patches of bare trail mixed with snow and icy stream crossings. The road from Highway 20 to the trailhead was snow-covered, necessitating parking on the highway. Trail obstacles were minimal, though steeper sections were noted. Pre-season reports from September 2025 suggest the road to the trailhead may have had potholes, and shoulder parking on Highway 20 was common. The trail itself was generally well-maintained in late summer/early fall.
