Denny Creek

Snoqualmie Region

updated 4 days ago

As of March 22, 2026, the forest service road to Denny Creek Trailhead remains closed, requiring parking at the roadblock approximately 0.3 miles prior to the trailhead. The road is snow-free until the last private property, with the latter half unplowed. Snowshoes are strongly recommended from the trailhead due to deep, slushy snow.

The log bridge at the second Denny Creek crossing is gone, necessitating a wet and potentially hazardous crossing upstream. Strong currents require caution and snowshoes/poles. Deadfall is present, requiring navigation deviations.

Reports from January 25, 2026, noted a well-established boot pack to "The Slides" and generally firm snow. The log at "The Slides" was also absent then, with icy banks. Snow depth was around 2 feet at the upper log bridge. Parking options varied, including the SnoPark or Pratt Lake/Granite Mtn trailhead.
