As of June 24, 2026, Garfield Ledges is in excellent condition, with no snow reported. The trail is well-maintained, featuring a series of wooden steps, though some hikers note they can be tall without handrails. The Middle Fork Road leading to the trailhead is described as improved and no longer the "potholey holy mess" of years past. Parking is generally plentiful, even on busy weekends. Wildflowers were noted in bloom as of April 12th. The trailhead facilities, including portapotties, are open and stocked. A Discover Pass is required for parking.
