Lime Kiln Trail
North Cascades
As of May 10, 2026, the Lime Kiln Trail is largely clear and dry, with minimal mud. The parking lot can fill by late morning on weekends. A porta-potty is available at the trailhead.
Recent reports from May 1st and May 2nd indicate numerous downed trees are present past the lime kiln, creating obstacles that may require turning back, especially with dogs. However, a report from May 10th states no trail obstacles were encountered. Some hikers experienced minor mud patches after the kiln, easily sidestepped. Bugs are noted as present but minimal. Wildflowers and plants are blooming. No cows have been sighted despite trailhead postings.
