McClellan Butte

Snoqualmie Region

updated 1 week ago

As of August 2nd, 2026, McClellan Butte's trail is snow-free and in good condition with only a few minor blowdowns easily stepped over. The final scramble is also dry and clear. Be aware of potential gunshots sounding close by on the descent, particularly below 2500ft, as reported on August 2nd. Recent reports from July 15th and earlier mention high bug activity, especially near the summit, so bug spray is recommended. Wildberries, including blueberries, salmonberries, and thimbleberries, are abundant along the trail. Road conditions to the trailhead are generally good with short, slightly potholed stretches. Parking was available in early mornings and late afternoons in recent weeks.
