Mount Walker

Olympic Peninsula

updated 2 weeks ago

As of July 25, 2026, Mount Walker's trail is in excellent condition with no reported obstacles or snow. A double blowdown at approximately 0.25 miles is easily stepped over, and was even cleared by a helpful hiker on July 25th. Parking is generally not an issue. While rhododendrons were blooming heavily in late May and early June, they are now mostly finished, with only a few flowers remaining. Be aware that the summit can be buggy at dusk. The viewpoints are accessible by car, but the hike offers excellent conditioning with significant elevation gain.
