Naches Peak Loop

Mount Rainier Area

updated 6 months ago

As of February 16, 2026, conditions for the Naches Peak Loop are unavailable from recent reports. However, in late August and September 2025, the trail was reportedly closed on September 25th. Prior to that, on September 4th, the PCT portion was closed due to the Wildcat fire, limiting views of Mount Rainier due to smoke haze, though blueberries were ripe. On September 1st, parking was busy, especially later in the day. Hikers noted noticeable smoke at the trailhead, though it cleared on parts of the trail. Some trail confusion from social paths was mentioned. The full loop was reported as approximately 3.65 miles.
