Snoquera Falls Loop

Mount Rainier Area

updated 2 weeks ago

As of April 25, 2026, the Snoquera Falls Loop is experiencing spring conditions with active snowmelt contributing to strong waterfall flows. Snow is melting but may still be present on higher or less traveled sections, particularly on the clockwise route to the falls, as noted on April 9. Waterproof footwear is recommended for creek crossings near the falls, as they can be wet and slippery (April 18).

Numerous downed trees are present throughout the loop. While most are passable with climbing or crawling, some are more challenging, especially for smaller individuals or those with dogs (April 10, March 26, April 6). Reports of ticks are also present, with sightings on April 9, April 18, and April 6. The road and parking lot were snow-free as of January 31. Wildflowers, including trilliums and an orchid, have been spotted (April 25).
